In the pursuit of promoting safer airport operations and cooperation between the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), aviation stakeholders and airports worldwide, ACI has developed the Airport Excellence (APEX) Programmes, which currently includes APEX in Safety and APEX in Security.
The programme is based on ICAO standards, national regulations and ACI best practices. APEX Programmes combines the mandate for regulatory compliance with day-to-day operational needs to maximize operational efficiency and safety and/or security standards. Moreover, APEX Reviews are tailored to the individual needs of airports and APEX Reports propose effective and targeted solutions.
For more information about the APEX programme, watch the below video, or download our brochures and reference documents.
The AADP has been designed to complement the APEX review by providing the necessary assistance and support to those African airports to meet the challenges of addressing the findings of the review efficiently and sustainably in a bid to achieve certification or to aim for safety or security excellence. The AADP thus aims to fill the gap which usually exists in the aftermath of an APEX mission at African airports.
ACI Africa strongly encourages all African airports to undertake the APEX review. For more information, kindly contact ACI Africa at: aci.africa@aci-africa.aero
