In this unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic, when air travel has still not returned to normal, ACI Africa and SITA have joined their efforts to propose a unique instructor-led virtual class on the trending topic of ‘Technology Enabling Sustainable Operations’ from 16 to 18 February 2021, covering 3-hour online session each day.

The course, which encompasses passenger processing and experience, operations management, data-driven decision-making and digital transformation, has been specifically designed to provide a thorough insight of the airport operations in the post COVID-19 global environment, i.e. the ‘new normal’ as well as on the importance of specific technologies in enabling and supporting sustainable airport operations.  The course will also provide a unique platform for the sharing of practical knowledge of the operational requirements in enabling technology and innovation at airports.

The instructor for the course is the highly experienced Dr Carlos Kaduoka, who has wide-ranging airport expertise, including in airport technology deployment, digital transformation and technology strategy.  In addition to membership in a number of prestigious aviation institutes and bodies, Carlos is a lecturer on Aviation Technology at University of Surrey and Cranfield University.

The target audience is mid to senior management staff in airport ICT, Operations, Passenger Experience as well as Airport / Terminal Managers and Directors.

The course fee is Euro 150 per participant and only 12 seats are available for this course, on a first come first served basis.  A Certificate will be awarded to all successful participants at the end of the course.
